Asia is the next BIG market. Why?

Asia is the world’s largest and most populous continent with over 4 billion people, making up more than 60% of the world’s current total population as compared to 56% less than 3 years ago. With such clear indications of the ever-growing population in the region, the Asian F&B industry is an important market for your business.
  • Organic foods demand an all-time high – Organic food market in Asia-Pacific is forecasted to grow at a CAGR of approximately 18% during 2008 – 2010 and is expected to reach US$70.2billion globally by the end of 2010. (Source: www.redorbit.com, October 2008)
  • Functional food and drinks is up and coming – Asia will remain the most prosperous functional food market, while confectionery and soft drinks continue to grow in popularity. The Asia – Pacific functional food market will continue to outperform the US and European market in the foreseeable future. (Source: Datamonitor, March 2008)
